As Director of PS Operations & Delivery, you will define and drive the operational foundations that enable the Professional Services function to scale with confidence. You’ll lead cross-functional alignment, own performance and financial governance, and champion the process improvements that make the whole team more effective.
This is a role that sits at the intersection of strategy and execution - equally comfortable shaping long-term direction and rolling up your sleeves to get things done. You’ll carry real influence with senior stakeholders and, as the function grows, build and lead a team of your own.
Key Responsibilities ...
Strategic Leadership & Thought Partnership
Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the PS Lead, bringing structured thinking to operational and business challenges
Drive cross-functional alignment across Delivery, Finance, Sales, and other functions - facilitating decision-making with clarity and confidence
Lead ad hoc strategic analysis and insight generation for PS leadership and key stakeholders
Contribute to the PS function’s longer-term planning and organisational direction
Financial Control & Commercial Governance
Own financial performance oversight across the PS portfolio, working in close partnership with Finance
Direct resource allocation and capacity planning across the BU to ensure delivery health and margin integrity
Maintain rigorous CRM governance and pipeline hygiene — ensuring leadership always has an accurate picture
Performance Visibility & Reporting
Define and own the KPI framework that gives complete visibility across the PS & Delivery function
Set and uphold reporting standards, working with Programme Directors on portfolio-level status and progress tracking
Lead performance reporting for strategic initiatives, including AI programmes and cross-functional workstreams
Governance, Process & Delivery Excellence
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, standardised processes that remove operational friction and raise the bar on delivery consistency
Partner with Programme Directors to ensure execution alignment and governance rigour across the portfolio
Own the CLM system - including contract approval workflows and internal governance cycles
Maintain the Delivery organisational structure, keeping it accurate and fit for purpose as the function evolves
Knowledge Management & Internal Communications
Own the central knowledge repository - ensuring it is structured, current, and actively used
Drive the standardisation and embedding of lessons learned across project delivery
Lead BU Town Halls and shape the internal communications rhythm that keeps the team connected and informed
Commercial Support
Bring operational leadership to RFP responses and proposal preparation, coordinating across Sales, Delivery, and SMEs to produce compelling, high-quality bid content
AI & Automation
Champion the adoption of AI-driven tools for reporting automation, workflow optimisation, and data analysis - identifying opportunities to embed smarter ways of working across the function
People Leadership
While this role is initially an individual contributor position, it carries a clear people leadership trajectory. As the PS function grows, you will be expected to build, lead, and develop a small operations team - setting direction, managing performance, and creating an environment where people do their best work.
What We’re Looking For ...
Proven experience in a senior operations, programme, or delivery leadership role - ideally within a Professional Services or consulting environment
Strong financial acumen with direct experience of budget management, forecasting, and commercial governance
Exceptional stakeholder management skills - able to influence and advise at senior leadership level
A track record of designing and implementing process improvement at scale
Comfortable working across strategy and execution, and in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Experience with AI or automation tools applied to operational workflows is a strong advantage
People management experience, or a demonstrated readiness to step into a leadership remit
