The Opportunity

 

O’Callaghan Collection is entering a defining phase of growth, with significant investment across our portfolio and a clear ambition to position the group firmly within the luxury hospitality space.

 

We are seeking a Head of Marketing to lead and shape this evolution, establishing a distinct, elevated brand presence while driving commercial performance across all properties.

 

This role is a key position within the Commercial leadership team, reflecting the strategic importance of marketing in delivering both brand value and revenue growth.

 

The Role

 

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Head of Marketing will have overall responsibility for the marketing function across the collection.

 

You will contribute to the strategic direction of brand, positioning, and go-to-market strategy across the collection. Leading the marketing team in delivering a cohesive and elevated approach aligned with the Group’s evolving direction and ambition within the luxury hospitality market.

 

With a diverse portfolio of established properties alongside the Group’s continued growth, this role requires a flexible and commercially astute approach, with the ability to balance differing brand identities, audiences, and market positioning across the collection.

 

Working in close partnership with the Commercial Director, you will contribute to the broader strategic direction of the portfolio, ensuring marketing and commercial priorities remain closely aligned as the business continues to evolve.

 

In collaboration with the Head of Digital Marketing, you will ensure all activity is strategically aligned, brand-led, and commercially effective across all channels.

 

This is a senior leadership role requiring a strong blend of brand authority, commercial acumen, and luxury market expertise, with the presence and confidence to set direction, challenge thinking, and elevate the overall marketing output of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Marketing Leadership & Strategy

Define and lead the overall marketing strategy across the hotel portfolio.

Shape and embed brand positioning aligned with luxury market expectations.

Establish clear, differentiated identities for each property within a strong group framework.

Lead all major brand initiatives including refurbishments, relaunches, and repositioning projects.

 

Commercial Integration

Act as a core member of the commercial leadership team, ensuring marketing is fully integrated into business strategy.

Partner closely with the Commercial Director to align marketing with revenue priorities.

Drive marketing effectiveness across rooms, F&B, and events, with clear focus on ROI and performance.

 

Luxury Brand Development

Bring a deep understanding of luxury consumers, trends, and competitive positioning.

Elevate brand storytelling and guest experience across all channels and touchpoints.

Lead PR, partnerships, and media strategy to strengthen brand visibility and reputation.

 

Digital & Channel Leadership

Provide strategic direction across all marketing channels, with digital as a core pillar.

Work in close collaboration with the Head of Digital Marketing to ensure performance activity aligns with brand and commercial objectives.

Ensure consistency and quality across all digital platforms and campaigns.

 

Creative & Brand Control

Maintain full oversight of all creative output across the business, ensuring a consistent and premium standard.

Oversee campaigns, content, websites, and all physical collateral including menus and on-property materials.

Ensure all brand touchpoints reflect the desired positioning as the group moves into the luxury space.

 

Team Leadership

Lead, structure, and develop a high-performing marketing team.

Create a collaborative, high-performing environment aligned with commercial objectives.

Foster a culture that is both creatively ambitious and commercially focused.

Ensure the team operates with flexibility to support wider business priorities.

 

Experience & Profile

Proven track record in a senior marketing leadership role within:

  • Luxury hospitality, or
  • Luxury retail, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands, or
  • High-end PR, media, or brand-led environments.

Demonstrated success in leading brand transformation, repositioning, or elevating a brand into the luxury space.

Strong commercial acumen with clear experience linking marketing to revenue performance.

Experience leading integrated marketing teams, including digital functions, with the ability to direct strategy and performance.

Highly developed brand judgement and attention to detail.
